Intimacy among youths of ethnic brethren can open the bright future

3 March

CURRENTLY, the incumbent government is attempting to achieve “national reconciliation and internal peace” as one of the national objectives. It is undeniable that this is mainly to be carried out as armed conflicts have strained Myanmar to lag in development. Our country, Myanmar is named as Union because many ethnic people dwell on the land of Myanmar together. Especially, ethnic people reside in the states which are close to the border, such as Kachin in the northern part, Shan in the eastern part, Rakhine in the western part. This is the main reason why to have the peace matters most in Myanmar. For example, as an obvious fact, for the security of Myanmar, like in preventing illegal goods from entering into Myanmar from neighbouring countries, in stopping the human trafficking, in conserving the natural resources, in preventing the illegal immigration and emigration, having internal peace can assist the government a lot to handle these cases well. Simply, if we can build up inner collective strength through peace, it is sure that the country will develop equally and no nation can harm the sovereignty of our country and the welfare of our ethnic people.

Signing the Nationwide ceasefire agreement is the action of peace of process at the state level. In my perspective, at this time, while carrying out the peace process and development, it will be better if the government takes action to have intimacy among youths of ethnic brethren. Nowadays, due to globalization, the youths seem more familiar with Chinese, Japanese, Korean through watching their movies and consuming their foods. Due to the impacts of globalization, and as the traditional food, the culture of our ethnic brethren do not have enough background, they cannot satisfy the demands of today’s youths. Thus, supportive actions to modify the traditional foods of our ethnic brethren to firstly penetrate the local market, organizing some extracurricular activities to create a chance to let the youths of ethnic brethren meet together and do some innovations for Myanmar will be the effective ways. If trust, intimacy, mutual respect, cooperative spirit can be built among the youths of our ethnic brethren, I believe this will lead to success in making our country develop and powerful again in the future.
