Japanese cultural troupe appointed as Sagaing Regions’s tourism ambassador

A cultural troupe from Japan named “Manjushaka” has been appointed as the tourism ambassador by the Sagaing regional government.

The Japanese cultural troupe performed entertainment in Sagaing Region to promote tourism industry in the region under the cultural exchange programme between Myanmar and Japan. The group was appointed as the tourism ambassador by Sagaing Regional Minister for Planning and Finance U Soe Oo after the Japan-Myanmar friendship concert jointly performed by the Sagaing Regional tourism promotion committee and the Japanese dance troupe “Manjushaka” at City Hall in Monywa on 25 February.

The friendship concert was also attended by the wife of the regional chief minister, Speaker of Sagaing Regional Parliament U Than, Deputy Speaker of the regional parliament, regional cabinet members, regional lawmakers and invited guests.—Win Oo (Zeyar Taing)
