Shinbweyang, 19 August
No casualties were reported when a landslide occurred on a section of the Shinbweyang-Nanyun Road about nine miles from Shinbweyang Town, Myitkyina in Kachin State.
The landslide occurred between mileposts 228 km and 229 km on the Namti-Tanai-Pangsawn Road at about 10 a.m. on 18 August following the heavy rains in the area. The debris were cleared off with the use of a heavy machinery belonging to the Department of Road under the Ministry of Construction.
