Chaung-U 21 March
A library named “Myo Myat Thein” was opened at Chaungmana (south) villages in Chaung-U Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Region this morning.
The ceremony was formally opened by chairman of township management committee from Chaung-U Township General Administration Department, an official from the Township Information and Public Relations Department, village administrator and a member of organizing committee.
At the ceremony, an official from the IPRD clarified about sustainable development of a library. Next, officials handed over a variety of books, magazines and publications to librarian U Kyi Soe and the village administrator expressed words of thanks to authorities.
The new library which is 24 feet long, 16 feet wide and 12 feet high is funded by U Tin Maung, wife Daw Than Oo and daughter Dr. Myint Myint Thein (Paediatrician) and the public. The plot for construction the library was donated by U Thein Tan and wife Daw Than and the library cost K 4 million.
