The Lions signs Burkina Faso defender

Yangon, 9 December

The Myanmar National League side Yangon United has inked a one-season contract with Ernest Aboubacar Congo from Burkina Faso on an undisclosed fee.

“Yangon United is a great team and always craving the way for victory. When I was offered a letter from the team, I am thrilled to be part of the team. And the team has to play international matches and I want to be the one who brings the team to their goal. There are two reasons to come here. The first is I want to try to lift the title and the second is I give my best to the team as much as I can”, expressed the fourth comer of Yangon United.

Defender Aboubacar paved his professional career since 2008 and spent his time in Moroccan clubs from 2016 to 2018. Then he moved to Tunisia and he was loaned to Oman club Sohar in 2018. Then he returned to Sidi Kacem, Morocco, the place he spent most of his life, in 2019.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
