The opening ceremony of the 5th anniversary of Lisu New Year Festival was graced by Shan State Lisu Ethnic Affairs Minister U Gu Sar in Loigon village, Namhsan Township, eastern part of Shan State this morning.
The ceremony was formally opened by the Lisu Ethnic Affairs Minister U Gu Sar, MP U Htay Lwin of Pyithu Hluttaw, MP U Lin Aung Swe of State Hluttaw and Township Administrator U Nyein Chan Aung. Next, the minister U Gu Sar and MP U Lin Aung Swe of State Hluttaw gave remarks.
Attendees enjoyed the entertainment of Lisu traditional dances and secretary of Lisu Literature and Culture Association Daw Aster Lay expressed thanks.
A total of 200 people including departmental personnel, village administrators and Lisu national people were in attendance.
