Magway Region CM shines light on rural electrification facilities

Rural electrification tasks are being implemented in Gangaw Township with the financial allotment of the local government under the National Electrification Plan (NEP).
    

So far, 13 villages have been facilitated with electricity and arrangements are being made to supply power to the remaining villages. In the recent months, ceremonies to inaugurate rural electrification structures were held in eight villages in the region with the attendance of Regional Chief Minister Dr Aung Moe Nyo and officials from the Electricity Supply Enterprise.
    

“Electrification facilities were launched in four villages in Gangaw Township under the NEP last week. 66 villages in Gangaw Township have been connected with the National Grid in time of the incumbent government,” said U Myint Zaw, Magway Region Minister for Natural Resouces, Electricity and Energy.
