Kanbalu, 4 February
A family quarrel led to the death of a man in new Kodaungbo ward, Kanbalu, Sagaing Region yesterday.
Upon information received, policemen from Kodaungbo Police Outpost together with witnesses on the morning of 3 March were at the murder scene. The authorities leant that U Maung Htay who was under the influence of alcohol had a quarrel with Daw Amar Lwin, his wife over meals. U Maung Htay was hacked to death by his wife who subdued him and took machete from him.
Action is being taken against Daw Amar Lwin who committed murder according to law by the police station concerned.—Lu Aung (Katha)
