Mandalay to host Myanmar-Thai Lethwei challenge

A promonent Lethwei promoter from Mandalay Region is going to organize a Lethwei challence between fighters from Myanmar and Thailand  in Mandalay on 28 February.

 

The Lethwei event headlined “Myanmar-Thai Lethwei Challenge Fight” is going to take place at an indoor hall in Mandalarthiri Stadium under the supervision of the Myanmar Lethwei Federation of the Ministry of Health and Sports. There will be many bouts in the Lethwei challenge. Mandalay’s rising Lethwei star Byat Gha will clash with his component from Thailand in the main event.

 

Another Mandalay-based Lethwei warrior Tun Lin Khant will battle against a Thai fighter in the co-main event. Lethwei fighter Kyarr Thwe will face off a Muay Thai warrior while Five K from Mandalay’s Yadanarbon Club will fight against a challenger from Thailand. In addition, there will also be other bouts with up and coming fighters during the event under Myanmar’s Lethwei rules.

 

The Lethwei event will not be broadcast live on TV channels and ticket prices are set from  Ks. 10,000 to Ks. 30,000.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
