As part of efforts to promote awareness about the risks of coronavirus, masks and face shields were distributed to locals in a local bazaar in Maungdaw, Rakhine State free of charge.
Township Administrator U Aung Ye, Medical Superintendent Dr Kyaw Maung Maung Thein, officials from the Department of Public Health, Department of Social Welfare, Township Development Committee, Information and Public Relations Department joined the activity.
The local officials distributed masks, face shields, hand gels, and pamphlets to vendors and residents, and disseminated knowledge about the healthcare and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports by using the hand speakers.
The joint team inspected the vendors in Myoma Market in accordance with the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports and provided information.
