Yangon United will play against Shan United at Aung San Stadium in Yangon at 3:30 p.m. on 6 January for the annual Myanmar Football Federation’s Charity Cup, according to the MFF.
Traditionally, the match which heralds the start of the domestic football season must be played by the Myanmar National League champion and the winner of the knock-out General Aung San Shield. But Yangon United was crowned both the league and knockout trophies while Shan United finished in the second place in both competitions last year.
The match will be held in conjunction with entertainment programmes and ticket prices range from Ks. 1,000 to Ks. 2,000. Proceeds from the charity match will go to philanthropic centers.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
