A ceremony to hand over Myanmar-China Friendship school building was held at the monastic school Namhsan village, Lashio Township this morning.
The new facility was formally opened by Lashio District Commissioner U Aung Cho, Mr. Yu Bian Jiang, Charge d’affaires of Embassy of China in Yangon, Namhsan Presiding Sayadaw, District Education Officer and a member of Myanmar-China Business Association.
On the occasion, the district commissioner gave opening remarks and Mr. Yu Bian Jiang handed over documents related to the new facility to the district education officer. In addition, he also furnished K 10 million of cash assistance for the new facility and stationery to the Namhsan Presiding Sayadaw.
Next, Mr. Yu Bian Jiang clarified the purpose of the donations and the district commissioner presented a certificate of honor to those who contributed in the project.
The newly constructed facility is 110 feet long and 30 feet wide and it is of RC two-storey type.
