Myanmar football academy to house COVID-19 quarantined persons

The Ayeyarwaddy Foundation has prepared the Myanmar Football Academy in Mandalay to be used as a quarantine centre for the COVID-19 patients. Mandalay Region Chief Minister Dr Zaw Myint Maung inspected the academy under the supervision of the Mandalay Regional government on 5 October and provided necessary assistance. Mandalay Region has been speeding up the COVID-19 emergency response to ensure the disease under control and the Ayeyarwaddy Foundation is supporting the COVID-19 disease prevention and treatment programme.

 

The academy in Mandalay will be able to accommodate 100 patients and 25 volunteers and the foundation has arranged to provide food four times a day and other necessary items.—Ye Yint Shine
