Myanmar migrant workers return homes

Eighty-one Myanmar illegal migrant workers were repatriated by Thai authorities to their Myanmar counterparts yesterday.

The workers were sent back as their border passes expired, making them to illegal stay in Thailand without proper documents. They were welcomed by officials from the Township General Administration Department, the Labor, Immigration and Population Department, Anti-Human Trafficking Police Force, Departments of Labor and Disaster Management. They were provided with health care services by the Public Health Department before being transported home.

Those who were repatriated are from Taninthayi Region, Ayeyawady Region, Yangon Region, Bago Region and Mon and Rakhine States.
