Myanmar National League U-19: Shan United beat Mawyawadi 6-0

The Shan United U-19 football team trounced Mawyawadi F.C. by 6-0 with the help of a hat-trick by youth player Aye Min Tun in the Week-8 match of the Myanmar National League ( U-19) 2020 yesterday at the South Dagon Stadium in Yangon.


Shan United relied on attack from the beginning of the match, while Mawyawadi F.C. focused on defense.


Shan United gained the opening goal as early as six minutes. The goal was scored by Aye Min Tun.


A minute later, Aye Min Tun scored the second goal for Shan United to give the team a two-goal lead over their opponents.


With the score reaching 2-0, Mawyawadi’s players put up a massive defense in midfield to make it difficult for Shan United players to launch an attack. The first half ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of Shan United.
In the second half, Shan United changed tactics and launched an all-out attack to score four more goals.


Nway Aye scored the third goal for Shan United at 60 minutes, while Thuya Sing scored the fourth goal for the team at 64 minutes. With the score reaching 4-0, Shan United did not reduce their tempo and created more scoring opportunities. Aye Min Tun scored the fifth goal for Shan United at 79 minutes, completing his hat-trick.


Hein Zayar Min bagged the final goal for Shan United at 88 minutes, handing the team a resounding 6-0 win.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
