National-Level Anti-Corruption Strategy Drafting Committee holds its 1st online meeting

The National-Level Anti-Corruption Strategy Drafting Committee held its first online meeting on formulation of National-Level Anti-Corruption Strategy yesterday afternoon. During the meeting, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chair U Aung Kyi, in his capacity as Committee Chair made an opening remark, saying that the National Level Anti-Corruption Strategy is absolutely essential for the country and some priority facts should be added in the strategy.


Committee Deputy Chair U San Win, in his capacity as ACC Secretary later discussed formation of committee on public organizations, committee on private sectors and civil organizations, committee on technology for National-Level Anti-Corruption Strategy Drafting Committee to implement successfully in accordance with the duties of President’s Office.


Then, Secretary for strategy drafting committee Daw Myat Myat Soe, member of ACC briefed 8 facts of basic principles in drafting the Anti-Corruption Strategy and National-Level Anti-Corruption Strategy (draft) of Myanmar by referencing the anti-corruption strategy of the neighbouring countries while the other attendees coordinated the meeting regarding formation of two committees and criteria.


The ACC Chair concluded the meeting by saying that the officials of private sectors and civilian groups will be invited in forming the committee on private sectors and civil organizations in line with the set criteria, the ToR (Terms of References) will be drafted for the committees and the decisions will be sought at the 2nd committee meeting to be held on 20 November 2020.
