New library handed over to Mahlaing Township

A new library was handed over to Nyaungbintha village in Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region yesterday.

At the event, village administrator U Nyein made opening remarks and an official from the Township Information and Public Relations Department explained purpose of establishing a library and benefits of reading. Afterwards, donor U Hla Shwe made a clarification, disclosing that people without reading will not be able to keep abreast of the world. Therefore, libraries had emerged for youths to broaden their horizons. 

The newly opened library named Ahlinyaung library is 17 feet long and 13 feet wide and it is also a one-storey building.
