New plane delivered to MAI

27 Oct

The new Embraer E 190-100 for Myanmar Airways International for domestic flights arrived at Yangon International Airport yesterday morning.

MAI had planned to expand into domestic flights and ordered four Embraer E 190 planes before COVID-19. The new plane is the first to arrive and reached Yangon from Guangzhou, China, with the MAI logo and paint job.

MAI plans to use the new planes to fly travellers to remote areas of Myanmar that are hard to reach by car, train or boat. They plan to schedule flights to Putao, Myitkyina, Kawthoung, Myeik, Dawei, Kengtung, Heho, Sittway, NyaungU, Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay. The new domestic flights will have MAI pilots, cabin crews and staff set to international standard services with the safety of the Embraer E 190 planes.
