The final match of an open Futsal contest was held in conjunction with a prize awarding event at the township sport ground in Kyunsu Township, Taninthayi Region on 4 January.
The contest was organized by the township Sports and Physical Education Department under the sports development programme. In the final game, the team named Ko Phoe Kyaw beat the squad representing BEHS Kyunsu 1-0 and was crowned the champion. Concerned officials presented prizes and cash to winning teams and players. Township Administrator U Kyaw Htay awarded the trophy to the champion team.
A total of 90 players from nine teams representing wards and villages in the township took part in the event that run from 31 December to 4 January.—Si Thura Aung (Kyunsu)
