Open marathon race marks Independence Day

Khin-U, 3 January

           

In order to mark the 72nd Independence Day, an open marathon race was held in the town of Khin-U, Shwebo district, Sagaing region this early morning.

 

As soon as the race started from Thayetpinsu village and the marathon runners run towards the finishing point in the town of Khin-U.  32 out of 41 runners, who took part in the race, finished the race.

 

First, second and third prizes will be given to the runners who finished first, second, third in the race at the celebration of Independence Day on January 4.

 

Besides, ten consolation prizes and prizes will also be given to those who finished the marathon race.—Soe Wai Aung ( Khin-U IPRD)
