Over 4,000 to buy apartments in Mya Yee Nanda affordable housing complex

More than 4,000 people have applied for buying flats in the Mya Yee Nanda affordable housing complex, which will be sold by Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC), an MCDC news release stated.

MCDC is selling the apartments of Mya Yee Nanda affordable housing complex to retired government servants, civil service personnel, private companies’ staff, and the general public. Among them, the general public has mostly applied for buying those housing complexes.

Previously, those who won the lucky draw to buy the units had to pay a deposit of K500,000. Now, the lucky draw winners have to pay a deposit of K2 million.

More than 6,000 people have procured the application forms to buy affordable housing units. Among them, over 4,000 people have submitted their application forms.

Now, MCDC has received more than 4,000 application forms and will conduct the lucky draw on 10 March.

MCDC will sell over 500 flats this time. Those who have won the lucky draw must follow the rules and regulations adopted by MCDC. They are allowed to pay in the prescribed amount through an installment plan with the banks.

A ground floor apartment is being sold for over K28 million, a first floor one for over K25.7 million, a second floor one for over K23.1 million, a third floor one for over K21.1 million, a fourth-floor one for over K19.5 million, and a fifth-floor one for over K18 million.
