Hsihseng, 18 March
The 7th anniversary of the PaO National Day was commemorated on a grand scale at the township sports grounds in Hsiseng Township, Southern Shan State on 17 March.
The ceremony was opened by the MP for Shan State parliament U Khun Maung Pel, a representative from an ethnic armed organization and Deputy Township Administrator U Saw Maung Bwe by cutting a ribbon. Afterwards, Chairman of the Hsihseng Township PaO Literature and Cultural Association U Don Maung and the Lower House legislator U Khun Than Htoo gave speeches.
Cultural troupes that will take part in celebration of the PaO National Day to be held in Taunggyi performed entertainment to audience. The occasion lasts till 22 March, according to a source from the event organizing committee.—IPRD
