Phone Myint Kyaw wins silver in Chinese 8 Ball Ranking League

MYANMAR’S 9 ball and 8 Ball professional player Phone Myint Kyaw (alias) Ko Ar Ti won second place in the Chinese 8 Ball Ranking League which was held in Yingkou, China this week.

 

Phone Myint Kyaw stated the qualification matches of the tourney on 2 October and, he passed all the qualification matches.

 

Next, the Myanmar pool star made another brilliant victory in the quarterfinal stage on 3 October to reach the semifinal. In semifinal which was held on 5 October, Phone Myint Kyaw met Chinese 8 ball professional player Yang Zhang Bin.

 

In the semifinal Phone Myint Kyaw managed to beat Yang Zhang Bin by a point of 12:9. On the same day, Phone Myint Kyaw continued his final game and he faced against Chinese pool star Zhang Kun Peng.

 

In the final game, Phone Myint Kyaw suffered 10-15 loss to Zhang Kun Peng.

 

For the loss in the final, the Myanmar pool star earned silver medal while Zhang Kun Peng won the gold medal for the 8 Ball League.

 

As a second prize, Phone Myint Kyaw won Yuan40,000, tourney authorizes stated.

 

After the game, Ko Ar Ti said: “I tried my best. But at the point of 10:10, I made a big mistake, and that made my mind some relentless to lose the game. There was no lucky ball later, and the opposing player is excellent.”
