Sponsored by Mawlamyine District Information and Public Relations Department, public talks on youths and drug scourge were held at Parami Private School in Mawlamyine, Mon State this afternoon with an opening address by Pyithu Hluttaw Representative Naing Thaung Nyunt.
At the event, Head of the State Information and Public Relations Department Daw Ni Ni Cho explained the purpose of the talks in MP Naing Thaung Nyunt, Township Administrator U Myint Oo, Police Major Myint Htoo of Anti-Drug Squad-38 and District Medical Officer Dr Khin Moe Thwe participated and shared knowledge on seizure of drugs, public awareness, offences and penalties, adverse consequences over drug abuse and others.
This was flowed a question-and-answer session.
Altogether some 200 students were also present on the occasion.—District IPRD
