An incidence of rape happened in the area of Chaungkhwa Police Station in TadaU township, Kyaukse district, Mandalay region on 5 February.
When searing for a missing daughter who was on her way to a grocer’s shop, Daw Aye Mar, mother of the missing daughter, of Nyaungpinzauk village, Gwesaung village-tract, TadaU township, found that her daughter was being raped by Lin Lin Aung, 20, son of U Htay Win, of the same village, in a farm near the village monastery.
When asked, her daughter disclosed to her mother that she was forced to have sex with Lin Lin Aung who forcibly took her to the farm without her consent.
Action is being taken against the rapist according to laws.—Ye Tint (Township IPRD)
