Kawkareik 7 October
Inauguration ceremonies of rural electrification facilities were held in Yekyawgyi, Naunghnaing, Naungtalar, Kawpaung, Winpoke and Tatakyoe villages in Kawkareik Township, Kayin State.
With the funds of Kayin State Government, 11KV power lines and 100 KV transformers were implemented in six villages and the local people in the villages are available 24-hour electricity. This will bring socioeconomic development of the local residents in the villages.
The occasion was graced by Deputy Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw Daw Nan Thuzar Win, Kayin State Minister fro Electricity and Industry U Soe Hlaing, Kayin State Minister for Immigration and Human Resource U Min Ko Khaing, District and Township Administrator, officials from District Electricity Supply Corporation and members of village electrification committee.
