Rural electrification facility launched in Twantay Township

An inauguration ceremony of a rural electrification facility was held in Myetnigon and Ywalay Villages in Twantay Township, Yangon Region yesterday evening.

On the occasion, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Myint Lwin, Regional MP Dr. Kyaw Zin Oo, Deputy Township Administrator U Nyein Chan Myint and an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the rural electrification structure. Next, the lawmakers delivered addresses and an engineer from the ESE shared knowledge about the risks of electricity.

According to him, 160 out of 235 villages in Twantay Township have access to electricity so far. In addition, two sub-power stations will be built in the township in the current fiscal year, he added. A village elder also spoke words of thanks.
