Rural road commissioned into service in Pwintbyu Twsp.

Pwintbyu, December 17

Chief Minister of Magway Region Dr Aung Moe Nyo attended an inauguration of a new concrete road in Settan Village in Pwintbyu Township this morning.

The chief minister, Upper House MP U Tun Tun, and Regional Lawmaker U Tint Hsan cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the new road which was built under the Cash for Work Plan financed by the local government.

The concrete road measuring 600 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and 6 inch thick was built by the Department of Rural Development at a cost of 10 million kyats in the current fiscal year. The DRD carried out seven rural roads—four concrete roads and three gravel facilities—in seven villages by spending 90 million kyats with the budget allocated by the local government in the present fiscal year.

Also present on the occasion were senior officials from the General Administration Department, employees from the DRD, and residents.
