Taunggyi, December 14
Chief Minister of Shan State Dr Lin Htut inspected construction of a detour in Taunggyi in southern Shan State on December 13.
The chief minister was accompanied by Shan State ministers, Shan State advocate-general, secretary of the local government and concerned officials. The chief minister was briefed about the progress for construction of the bypass by Shan State Minister for Road Transport U Khun Ye Htwe. Next, the chief minister and his entourage looked into construction of the bypass. The detour, designed to include bailey bridges and box culverts, is being built with Ks 3310.846 million allotted by the local government.
They then proceeded to Taunglaylone Town where they heard reports on production of the cement block making machines by an executive officer from the township development committee.
