Shan United’s key players likely to miss MNL debut against Sagaing United

Nay Pyi Taw, 10 January

Shan United’s Japanese midfielder Nakamura and Myanmar left-back Hein Thiha Zaw will be omitted from the team’s senior squad for the opening match of the Myanmar National League against Sagaing United due to their injuries.

The Japanese playmaker sustained hamstring injury while the Myanmar left-back was hurt with calf strain after the MFF Charity Cup game against Yangon United. “We don’t’ worry about their injuries because we have junior players to substitute their spots. They sustained minor injuries,” said U Min Thu, Head Coach of the Shan warriors.

Hein Thiha Zaw was sidelined almost the whole football season due to his injury and Nakamura joined the Taunggyi-based club ahead of the next MNL season. Shan United is scheduled to play the MNL debut against Sagaing United in Sagaing City on 12 January.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
