A ceremony to provide social pension to elderly over 85-year old in Thaegone Township, Pyay District, Bago Region was held at the office of the Township General Administration Department yesterday.
At the ceremony, a total of 1197 elderly people in the township were provided K 30,000 for three months at a rate of K 10,000 per person via village and ward administrators and departmental personnel.
Township Administrator, Deputy Township Administrator, official from Department of Social Welfare, Ward and Village Administrators and departmental personnel, totaling 120 people were in attendance.
