Phaungpyin 19 February
As many as 1,892 stimulant pills and 111 grams of heroin were seized at Nanbone village, Phaungpyin Township, at 5.45 am on 18 February.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Sub-Inspector of Ming Chaung Police Station in Phaungpyin Township, Thet Naing Tun and U Naing Lin and U Zaw Moe from Phaungpyin Township Anti-Drug Squad searched the house of Win Maung of Nanboung village and seized 111 grams of heroin worth K 11.1 million hidden the soap case and 1,892 WY/MY branded stimulant tablets worth over K 5.6 million and paraphernalia.
The local police station has filed charges against Win Maung, 49 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. –Zayar (IPRD)
