The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is providing medical and relief items to the IDP camps in Chin State for prevention of COVID-19 transmission.
On 24 May, the temporary shelters for internally displaced persons in Sami and Paletwa towns received 11,800 cloth masks, 200 bags of lime powders, 7,704 soap bars, 2,450 bottles of hand sanitizer, 7 memory sticks with audio files of COVID-19 for awareness campaign, 14 hand speakers and 14 thermometers.
The ministry is conducting awareness campaigns and motivation works in Nay Pyi Taw council area and other Regions/States.—MNA
