Tatmadaw holds press conference on peace efforts, COVID-19 measures

Tatmadaw True News Information Team held a press conference yesterday on the issues of peace efforts, armed clashes and measures of Defence Services personnel in fighting COVID-19 disease.

Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun led to release information about announcement of ceasefire and lasting peace on 9 May, armed clashes with AA terrorists in northern Rakhine State, conveying relief aid for locals in Paletwa area amid the blocks of AA on land and water ways and their attacks on some vehicles of World Food Programme.

Tatmadaw is also donating medical items for the hospitals in respective military commands for prevention, containment and treatment of COVID-19 with the cash donations of Tatmdaw families, including the Commander in Chief of Defence Services, medical and relief supplies to the locals, UWSA (Wa) and KIO/KIA organizations and possible assistance to the remaining ethnic armed groups, according to the Office of Commander in Chief of Defence Services.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
