Tobacco leaf go-down destroyed in fire

A fire broke out at a tobacco leaf go-down in ward-20 in the town of Myingyan, Mandalay Region at 8:03 am today.

 

The theory behind the incident is an overheated wire that caused fire to the tobacco leaf go-down belongs to U Aung Pyae Phyo.

 

Firefighters led by U Aung Ko Thant, deputy commander of Myingyan District Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire. In collaboration with local people, the firemen managed to put out the fire in 12 minutes, using five fire engines, seven water trucks.

 

A go-down measuring 50 feet by 60 feet with zinc roof, a building measuring 10 feet by 10 feet and a building measuring 50 feet by 60 feet were destroyed in the fire. No causalities were reported.
