Union Minister U Kyaw Tint Swe meets with officials from Naga Self-Administered Zone

Union Minister for Office of the State Counsellor, U Kyaw Tint Swe, held talks with officials from the Naga Self-Administered Zone’s Leading Body, leaders of ethnic Naga tribes, Naga central traditional culture and literature committee, at the Taungzalat Yeiktha, Leshi Township in the Naga Self-Administered Zone, Sagaing Region, at 8 am yesterday.


The meeting was attended by Sagaing Region Chief Minister Dr. Myint Naing, Region Hluttaw Speaker U Than, Deputy Ministers Maj-Gen Than Htut, U Kyi Min, U Kyaw Lin, U Hla Maw Oo, Commander of the North-West Command Maj-Gen Phone Myat, regional ministers, Hluttaw representatives, officials-concerned from the departments, Naga Self-Administered Zone Leading Body Chairman U Kay Hsai, other members of the body, leaders of ethnic Naga tribes and officials from the Naga central traditional culture and literature committee.

First, Union Minister for Office of the State Counsellor U Kyaw Tint Swe explained about the conditions of the Government’s efforts to implement the all-round development of Naga region, and then Sagaing Region Chief Minister Dr. Myint Naing clarified on the implementation process of tourism development and the status of inviting investment in Naga region.

Then Naga Self-Administered Zone Leading Body Chairman U Kay Hsai, Hluttaw representatives and leaders of ethnic Naga tribes presented their difficulties in education, healthcare, transportation, communication and electricity.


Union Minister U Kyaw Tint Swe coordinated with regional government and officials from the departments to cope with these difficulties. Union Minister then presented gifts to the Naga Self-Administered Zone Leading Body Chairman U Kay Hsai, officials, leaders of ethnic Naga tribes and chairman of Naga central traditional culture and literature committee.


Following this, Union Minister, Regional Chief Minister and officials left Leshi for Homalin by Tatmadaw aircraft and arrived in Yangon by the Myanmar National Airlines.
