Union Minister for Planning, Finance and Industry U Soe Win received Ms Hai Kyung Jun, Resident Representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and party yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting discussed the cooperation with UN agencies in implementing socio-economic development, the role of Development Assistance Coordination Unit for ensuring the effective use of international assistance by adopting the Development Assistance Policy, the focus of the ministry on the remedy for national economy affected by COVID-19, approval of Myanmar Economic Resilience and Reform Plan-MERRP, the main implementation plan with Goal 2 and Goal 3 of Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan, cooperation with UNHCR to address the challenges of Myanmar and developing the public-private partnership. The UNHCR official said that she would put special efforts to provide good support to the public during her service in Myanmar.
