Weaving training course conducts in Htigyaing Township

The Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Border Affairs conducted a weaving training course at its office in Htigyaing Township, Sagaing Region this morning.

 

At the ceremony, regional lawmakers U Maung Maung and U Thein Han, and Chairman of the township management committee U Ba Win gave speeches. An official from the Department of Rural Development then explained the purpose of the course. According to the DRD official, the intention of the vocational training course is to preserve Myanmar traditional weaving techniques and create better job opportunities for rural people.

 

The two-month course is being attended by seven trainees throughout the township.—IPRD
