Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and the region government ministers met with officials from “We Love Yangon” group at International Convention Center on Mindama road in Mayangon township, Yangon at 3 pm yesterday.
At the meeting, Daw Than Myint Aung, member of Yangon City Development Committee and also chairman of the group presented about social works being done by the group at quarantine centers, areas under lockdown and the group’s donations to monasteries and hospitals in Yangon. After hearing the group’s presentation, the region chief minister spoke words of appreciation for their contribution to the society and explained future plans.
Then, Yangon Region Chief Minister received donations from Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd Company and gave back a certificate of honour to the officials from the company. The donations from Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd Company will be later distributed to those in need through food delivery teams of “We Love Yangon” group.
“We Love Yangon” group is a charity based in Yangon and has been distributing food at original prices to Yangonites in the times of Covid-19.—San Kyaw Oo (IPRD)
