Yangon United inks with Yadanarbon FC defender Thein Than Win

Yangon United have confirmed the signing of Thein Than Win from Yadanarbon FC with a one-year contract on an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year old defender said, "It is an unbelieving offer from the club. I will give my best for the team and try to settle with the team's squad. Furthermore, I will be one of the team players who lift the team to the higher rank". This signing becomes the sixth signing of local players of Yangon United for the upcoming 2020 season.

Having a tremendous experience in his career, Thein Than Win made his professional debut in 2009 with Magwe FC. Then, he moved to Shan United in 2012 spending 4 years. He represented the Myanmar National U-23 in the 27th SEA Games hosted in Myanmar in 2013. And, he transferred to Yadanarbon FC in 2016. And in 2019, he was loaned to Thai club Ratchaburi Mitr Phol from Division 1 for the first round.

His first international debut was in 2009 with Myanmar National U-19 Team. After 2013, he suffered an injury for a long time. But he managed to recover and in 2016, he was chosen for the National Team. Till now, he can control the name on the National Team List with his performance. "I want to say the fans who are supporting the Yangon United is that trust me, and I can't wait to showcase my performance on the pitch", he added.

Yangon United has already signed local players Kyi Lin, Mg Mg Win, Aung Kyaw Naing, Yan Paing Soe, and Htike Htike Aung from domestic clubs, and foreign players Barfo, Emmanuel, Shori and Aboubacar Congo.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
