YANGON United recently took on Ernest Barfo, forward player of the Chabab Ghazieh Sporting Club of Lebanon, on a one-year loan, according to a statement issued by the Yangon football club.
“I was happy to get an offer from Yangon United and I heard it is a great club in My-anmar. I am very interested to come and join this club and help it achieve its dream,” said Ernest Barfo.
“I want to tell them (fans) to expect something very unique. Because we have a plan and a dream. And we are willing to make the fans happy. We are going to play the AFC Cup and we will do all our best in domestic and international competitions,” he added.
Ernest Barfo started his professional career with the Ghana Premier League. Then, he transferred to Kuwait club AlNasar and moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Tai for one sea-son each. Afterwards, he signed a year-long contract with the Chabab Hgazieh Sporting Club.
The Chabab Ghazieh Sport-ing Club, or simply Ghazieh, is a Lebanese football club based in Ghazieh. The team was founded in 1961 and all its home match-es take place at the Kfarjoz Sta-dium.—Lynn Thit(Tgi)
