A ceremony to furnish cash aids to farmers who lost their crops due to natural disaster in Hseni Township took place at the office of Agricultural Department in Hseni Township, Lashio District, Shan State (North) this morning.

First, MP Daw Nan Khin Htar Yee of Pyithu Hlttaw and Chairman U Myint Oo of Township Management Committee gave opening remarks and an official from the District Agricultural Department clarified the purpose of the cash aids. Officials provided 242 farmers with cash aids at a rate of K 10,000 per acre of monsoon crops. In addition, K 3.5 million for 355 acres of farmland destroyed by disaster was given to farmland owners, according to Township Information and Public Relations Department.
