A fire drill was orchestrated in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the natural disaster at a basic education high school in Kanpyar Village, Salin Township in Magway Region yesterday morning.

The event was organized by the Fire Services Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs. At first, the deputy commander of the township fire brigade disseminated knowledge about the risks of fire. Next, firefighters explained fire safety measures and demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area. Afterwards, demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers and conducted the first aid drill by using fire engines, water tankers and fire extinguishers.

Then a rescue and evacuation drill was orchestrated by firefighters with the involvement of students and teachers.
