Disaster Management Department of Buthidaung Township provided 427 rice bags to the displaced persons of IDP camps in Buthidaung Township, Maungtaw District in Rakhine State yesterday.

The provision was made by officials from Buthidaung Township Disaster Management Department of Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement led by in-charge Daw Zar Ngwe Oo.

First, the officials handed over the one month’s assistance of 15 rice bags to the Sayadaw of Thiri Mingala Ywa Ma Monastery in Ywa Ma Village in Buthidaung Township for 49 students who are studying at the monastery.

They also handed over one month’s provision of 422 rice sacks to the in-charges of seven IDP camps for 1,321 people of 275 households of the camps in Buthidaung Township. — Thet Lwin Soe (IPRD) (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
