A ceremony to provide foodstuff donated by Daw Khin Kyi’s Foundation to households removed their houses to safety places due to riverbank erosion in Kyaungkone village in Minbu (Sagu) Township, Minbu District, Magway Region was held in the village yesterday.

At the ceremony, the Foundation provided 12 pyis of rice, 50 ticals of cooking oil and ten eggs per household and a total of 50 households were provided with foodstuff with the help of village administrator.

In the village, there are a total of 95 households and out of which, 50 households removed their houses to safety place due to the riverbank erosion.  MPs of Hluttaw and Township Authorities also inspected the riverbank erosion by the end of September and Minbu District Department of Disaster Management provided cash aids for purchasing rice and relocation expenses.
