Laymyathnar 10 October

A ceremony to provide relief items and cash assistance to storm victims who experienced the forceful winds hit in seven villages in Laymyathnar Township, Hinthada District, Ayeyawady Region was held at a meeting hall of Township General Administration Department yesterday afternoon.

At the ceremony, officials from Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided cash aids for purchasing rice and building materials and rescue kits with 16 items to three households. 

The strong winds hit seven villages in the township on 8 October. Subsequently two houses collapsed and a house was partially destroyed by the forceful winds.
