Under the National Electrification Project (NEP), rural electrification projects are being undertaken across the nation. Now, the electrification project was implemented in Theinkyin Village in Saw Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region.

The electrification project was undertaken with the funds of Regional Government and now the village is eligible 24-hour electricity starting from 27 October, according to Township Electricity Supply Enterprise.

Rural electrification projects are being undertaken in 15 villages in Saw Township during 2019-2020 FY and out of which, 13 villages have been distributed electricity. Arrangements are being made to supply electricity to two villages, according to an official from the Township Electricity Supply Enterprise.
