At least 23 Boko Haram militants have been killed by Nigerian troops during recent operations in the country's restive northeast region, a military spokesperson said Tuesday.
Spokesman Benard Onyeuko told reporters that they have carried out aggressive clearance operations, ambushes, robust day-and-night patrols in order to get rid of the remnants of the Boko Haram militants.
He said several terrorist elements were neutralized and a large quantity of equipment was captured, including logistics consignment.
Benard told reporters that six soldiers were wounded during the period of operation.
