Officials from the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation together with local authorities inspected developmental tasks in Mese, a border town in Kayah State this morning.

They looked into construction of a two-storey facility being built by a private construction company named “Kayah Taungtan”for the DRD by spending Ks. 87.32 million from the Union Budget in the fiscal year 2018-2019. They also examined the progress of a rural road, construction of a rural bridge and a tube well in Kyauksu Village with the use of Ks. 119.97 allotted fund from the Union Budget.

They were briefed about the work progress by an in-charge engineer. The DRD official called for timely completion of the project and fulfilled the requirements.—Wutyi (IPRD)
