With the aim of narrowing gaps between rural and urban areas, the Department of Rural Development is conducting the construction of rural roads in Hnaukkataung and Patta villages in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region. Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the construction of the rural roads in the villages on May 14.

Construction of a road which is 1200 ft in length and 12 ft in width in Hnaukkataung village and other road which is 1700 ft in length and 12 ft in width in Patta village is being undertaken with K 10 million and public contributions. Upon completion, it will bring socioeconomic development to a total of 1155 people from 255 households in Hnaukkataung village and 5685 people from 1160 households in Patta village.
